Introduction

Gordon Shumway was born a son to Flo and Bob Shumway on August 12 and October 2, 1757. He was named after his grandmother and is 1.06 meters small. Alf rose up in the Lower East Side on planet Melmac.
He studied software programming, parking backwards and dentistry at the Melmac High School. In addition, he played Bouilabaseball (baseball with fish) for three years and got a sports grant during this time.
After his school education, he worked as photographic model and a managing director of own slime wholesale business. Later, he was an Orbit Guard and patrolled through space.
He has got a girlfriend, his great love Rhonda.
A nuclear catastrophe destroyed the planet Melmac completely. The accident happened because all residents Melmacs turned on their hair dryers at the same time. Gordon escaped in his spaceship before the detonation wave of the explosion could reach him.

Well, what is this all about?

This internet web site is dedicated to the TV show "ALF". The sitcom was aired from 1986 until 1990 in the USA and is still aired in many other parts of the world.

Well, and what is the TV show "ALF" about?

The TV series ALF focuses on an alien life form (ALF) named Gordon Shumway whose spaceship crashed into the garage of the Tanner family in Los Angeles. Because his shaceship could not be repaired, he was stuck on earth and had no possibility to get back to his home planet Melmac. The Tanner family decided to hide ALF from the alien task force and so he was allowed to stay. Most of the time he spend in the Tanner house, and although it was common to eat cats on Melmac, he never ate Lucky, the cat of the Tanner family, but he constantly tried to. :-)

As I said above, in the US, ALF was originally aired on NBC from 1986 until 1990. It was a cool sitcom (30 minutes long) and had a lot of success. It was on mostly on Mondays at 8 p.m. and it started a real ALF fever with lots of merchandising. The were two animated TV show spin-offs ("ALF" and "ALF tales") and a TV-movie from 1996 called "Project: ALF".
